Island View May Day Fesitval

S ave the date! On Friday, May 1, from 5:30- 8:30 pm, Island View will host its first ever May Day Festival, with music, dancing, many activities for kids and a real Maypole! A festive and joyous holiday welcoming the advent of spring, May Day is an ancient European custom that still finds expression today throughout Europe with festivals, races, and other events. In this country, we still honor May Day with May baskets left on neighbors’ doorsteps and ‘May bonnets” trimmed with flowers.
